Our Beliefs
GOD
As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—each possessing all the attributes of deity.
Humans
We believe humans were created in the image of God and placed in a sinless paradise to have fellowship with Him. But because of disobedience to God’s Word, sin entered the world and fellowship with God was broken and relationships between humans became strained. Humans through their own efforts cannot restore this brokenness.
The Gospel
We believe in the Gospel: that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. That He was crucified on a cross for our sins and raised from the dead three days later.
John 3:16
Salvation
Salvation comes only through God’s grace – not human effort – and must be received personally by repentance and faith.
The Word of God
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining how followers of Jesus should live their lives.
The Christian Life
We believe in the ongoing process of spiritual growth of the Christian through the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. Each person is to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and in developing and employing their spiritual gifts through the Church, so others may come to know Christ and the Church be built up into maturity.
The Church
The cornerstone of our belief is to remind people that GOD loves them unconditionally, because he saved them unconditionally, and will redeem them unconditionally.
Romans 9:10-16
Water Baptism
Baptism is not a requirement to be saved but is highly recommended, by full bodily submersion (Jesus is our example).
Biblical Marriage
Biblical Marriage has only one meaning and is clearly defined in scripture as a covenant, a sacred bond uniting one man (born a man) and one woman (born a woman) in a single, exclusive union for life, instituted by and publicly entered into before God (Matthew 19:4-6), and that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (I Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). The covenant is with God and should not be taken lightly or altered to fit personal preferences.
Communion
Symbolic for remembering our LORD’s sacrifice. Communion will be done every few months.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a person and God, who guides, teaches, and helps us obey GOD. He draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church.
Are Heaven and Hell real?
Yes. Absolutely! In the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
The Bible as an Authority.
Yes. The Word of God is perfect. The sole basis for our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters on which it speaks.
