I was born into a non-Christian home and grew up through a challenging childhood and home environment which led me to join the military as soon as I turned 18, and never looked back since.
I spent 5 years in the military, within that time I became a severe alcoholic myself, very angry about many things, got into a lot of fistfights when I got out, went jumping from college to college for about 4 years, attempted suicide several times while doing every drug imaginable, which led me into homelessness for about two months.
At that time I began to ask myself some honest questions, “What’s the meaning of life, and why is there so much suffering?”
A few months later I met a woman, my now current wife who knew my situation, asked me to go to church with her and the rest is history. That was 6 years ago! Now we’re married, have three daughters, and starting this church.
